I remember the day Ali spoke on campus. Big crowd, and only a few hecklers. The ones who did try to take him on got roundly booed. Ali said not to boo - it was disrespectful. A first class man, always. And as he would be the first to tell you, so pretty!
But what a great video it is. Always wondered about that meeting. Also, so much hair, as you say. I was so fortunate to meet Jim Brown at his book signing for Out of Bounds. What a great and magnificent man! And he totally spoiled me - even had me come back and take pictures with him, which proudly hang on my wall. I remember so much of the anger at Ali for refusing the draft & wondered if he could possibly survive the outrage. And look what followed. So much courage and strength. Thank you for your stories and comments on history. We all need to learn the lessons and understand history.
One other thing. Have you considered doing a Master Class series? You would be wonderful teacher.
