As you probably know, Jackie Robinson stole home during the 1955 World Series. To his dying day, Yogi Berra swore that Robinson was out. Jackie just said "the umpire called me safe". And that was that. Go Dodgers!
Padres fan here so I really didn't much care who won though no game should end the way that one did. Terrible no-check swing call.
There was a time that I was a Dodgers fan. That was during the Koufax/Drysdale/Wills/ T. and W. Davis years. In '62 there was a three-game playoff between the Dodgers and Giants. The series was tied so a game 3 had to be played at Candlestick. I believe Claude Osteen started for the Dodgers. Towards the end of the game the Giants evened the score and had men on base. What I remember most watching that game on TV was that Leo Durocher was the analyst and he started screaming "Where's Drysdale! Where's Drysdale! You got to go with your best available in a deciding game! The Dodgers are crazy!" Needless to say the Dodgers did not go with Drysdale and ended up losing. No WS for them in '62. It made me sad.
Ok. Watched you on YouTube. Hilarious! You in your cute dodgers uniform. When I was a child, the World Series always seemed to be the Dodgers & the Yankees. Loved the Dodgers. Watched Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snyder, etc. and all the old Yankees too. Always rooted for Brooklyn. Then I lived in San Francisco for many years, so totally understand your loyalty. Blue bloods. The rivalry is always fun. Again, best to your Dodgers!
Oh no. Bad call at the end. Shouldn't have been a strike. Not a Dodgers fan here, but congratulations anyway. I love the Giants!! Here's to success for the Dodgers in their quest to win.⚾

LOL!! Somewhere in the cosmos, my Dodger-blue-bleeding Grandma is beaming!
Great game but ended in shame. No umpire should have called that a strike to send a team with 108 wins home on a speculation.
