Dear Friends,
I have some good news to share. I’ve just been named Columnist of the Year for the sixth time, tying my six NBA championships. I guess that means my writing career has finally caught up to my basketball career. Now I use metaphors instead of skyhooks, but I hope the results are just as entertaining.
Here’s the thing: I moved to Substack in order to be able to write more often for my fans and to cover a broader scope of subjects. So far, I think you’ll agree I’ve done that. But that means I stopped writing for most other publications that paid me for my articles. Which means I’m relying on the paid subscribers to fund my Substack writing.
So, I’m asking those of you who find value in my words to become a paid subscriber at $5 a month or $50 a year. That will help me to keep our Substack community thriving. Thanks for your support. All you have to do is click on the Subscribe button below.
Awesome! It was a no-brainer. I really enjoyed your articles for The Guardian. Looking forward to a wider variety of content here. So far so good.
Laughing already and only on page 13 of The Thursday Murder Club. Thank you sir, for a fun book to read!
